Raf is a rare yellow-brown stony tree pulp, and insects can often be found inside the raft.
The insects stuck to the resin of the Hymenea tree, which still exists today, Rafíd is about 28 million years old and has been remarkably well preserved.
This particular type of fossil is so rare that only one insect is found for every 2 kg of Rafi.
