Orange Calcite - coarse

Name: The name calcite is derived from limestone, in Greek " chalix " = small stone, lime. Because of its orange color, this stone is called orange calcite. Other color variations include: honey calcite, green calcite, blue calcite, etc. The Indians called the stone "burning stone". They believed that it absorbed so much sunlight during the day that it continued to glow at night. It was also supposed to drive away evil spirits, thus calcite was revered as a sacred stone.

Calcite should have a positive effect on bones, muscles and should have a relaxing effect. It helps against insomnia, food cravings and gives more insight.
